Universal Pipe Forming- Welding and Annealing Equipment

On the T.H.E. high performance forming systems, designed with a dedicated highly sophisticated software for a scientific tool calculation, it is possible to produce a wide range of metal formed and welded pipes in the range from 1 to 65 mm diameter with wall thicknesses from 0.05 mm to 1.2 mm and wall thickness/diameter ratios up to 500.

Thanks to individually optimised roll forming tools the forming process is absolutely stable, therefore modern diode pumped lasers can be used for efficient welding. Changing the dimensions on the welding machine needs only a few minutes due to individually set and adjusted roll forming tools.


Laser or TIG

Based on our long experience in producing metal pipes by forming metal strips and welding them longitudinally, we can state that in most cases, using a laser welding system brings more advantages than with any TIG welding systems (not only because of the Helium short supply)
Because generally especially the quality matters as well as the long term security.
Both welding systems can be used, but with some restrictions. Generally, Laser is used for small thicknesses and TIG might be used for heavy thicknesses.

The price advantage of a TIG welding system versus the slightly more expensive Laser welding unit, will very soon be compensated by the higher efficiency and long-term product quality when the pipes are Laser welded.
This solution might be financially interesting only in case of thick pipes, and when the welding seam quality is not so relevant.
Of course, the product quality is not only depending on the welding solution, but also a lot on material type and quality of the metal strip used.

Pipe size Range

The standard pipe dimensions that can be processed on our lines goes from diameters about 1 mm up to 65 mm
The more common materials used are Aluminium and Stainless Steel (inox) alloys.
The domains of application for these tubes might be very diverse:
For example, our customers are using our high quality production lines to produce metal pipes for medical devices, heat exchangers (aeronautics & spatial, food industry) as well as solutions for the automotive branch (fuel, brakes, etc...)
Of course, we remain open to any other demand or proposition...

Laser and TIG welding Lines for Al and Multilayer Steel Tubes

Due to scientific tool calculation based on highly sophisticated software it is possible to produce a wide range of multi layer pipes in the range from 3 to 110 mm diameter with wall thicknesses from 0.08 mm to 1.2 mm and wall thickness/diameter ratios up to 500.

Thanks to individually optimised roll forming tools the forming process is absolutely stable, therefore modern diode pumped lasers can be used for efficient welding. Changing the dimensions on the welding machine needs only a few minutes due to individually set and adjusted roll-forming tools.
