New THE Machines cable shielding application “OSL150” – special red version

Presenting our special red color component, shown in its unique red finish – a robust and streamlined system for cable shielding using overlap and adhesive technology. This component shares high-quality features and comes with its own optimized configuration.

It accommodates cables from 40 mm to 150 mm, aluminium tapes between 0.15 mm and 0.60 mm thick, with a maximum tape width of 500 mm, and handles coils up to 1700 mm OD or 3 tons.

• Aluminium thickness 0.15 mm to 0.60 mm
• Aluminium width 125 mm to 500 mm – Aluminium coil ID 150 mm (bigger on request, up to max. 500 mm)
• Aluminium coil OD max. 1700 mm or 3 tons
• For coated or blank aluminium
• Optional adhesive application (extruder and/or hot melt pump, fully synchronized with production speed)
• Production speed 2 m/min up to 20 m/min – Metal tape tension regulation by means of a servo-capstan with 2 force sensors
• Line control available with Omron (including interface to Siemens) and Siemens PLCs
• Fast forming tool change system
• Optional pre-heating of the metal tape, also available as redundant version with 2 hot air blowers

This setup uses overlap tape application sealed with glue, ensuring precision and continuity.
