New THE Machines cable shielding application “OSL150” – special green version

Discover our green line, designed for continuous cable shielding production with a focus on efficiency and reduced downtime. This system features a complete endless tape feeding setup, including a double unwinder, SLT crosswelder, and a large accumulator.

In this video, we emphasize the size of the equipment, especially the accumulator — with the presence of an operator giving a clear sense of scale.

• Cable OD 40 mm to 150 mm
• Aluminium thickness 0.15 mm to 0.60 mm
• Aluminium width 125 mm to 500 mm
• Aluminium coil ID 150 mm (bigger on request, up to max. 500 mm)
• Aluminium coil OD max. 2200 mm or 3 tons
• For coated or blank aluminium
• Optional adhesive application (extruder and/or hot melt pump, fully synchronized with production speed)
• Production speed 2 m/min up to 20 m/min
• Metal tape tension regulation by means of a servo-capstan with 2 force sensors
• Line control available with Omron (including interface to Siemens) and Siemens PLCs
• Fast forming tool change system
• Optional pre-heating of the metal tape, also available as redundant version with 2 hot air blowers

This setup uses overlap tape application sealed with glue, ensuring precision and continuity.
